Accor – EDF Partnership
A partnership agreement has been signed to carry out transversal sustainable development projects. EDF will contribute its expertise in terms of
demand-site management of energy (DSM), creation of hotels with HEQ (High Environmental Quality), as well as
the development of pilot projects (renewable origin electricity, optimised signage lighting) etc.
Accor for its part may advise EDF on the management of its future corporate university, as well as supplying
services dispensed within the framework of its different sectors (catering, seminars, hotel industry, travel).

Accor - Air France work group
A joint work group on the theme of sustainable development has been set up.
The first meetings were held in 2005 to identify possible synergies between the two companies.

Groupe de travail Accor - Danone
Accor is both a client and a supplier for Danone. The two companies decided very obviously to join and work closely on how they could improve cooperate together with regards corporate social responsibility. The first meeting was encouraging and will hopefully leads to concluding achievements.

French Consultancy Utopies
Accor is a founding member of a work group dedicated to sustainable architecture set up by the sustainable development consultancy "Utopies".
This work group comprises several companies such as Lafarge, Schneider Electric and Gaz de France and its purpose is to reflect on ways of reducing the ecological footprint of buildings, at a time when the construction industry is being subjected to stringent environmental demands by public opinion and the public authorities.

ORSE
Accor has been an active member of the Observatoire sur la Responsabilité Sociétale des Entreprises [Study Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility] since 2002.
The purpose of the association is to collect, analyse and propagate information, documents and studies on corporate social responsibility and socially responsible investment in France and abroad, and to diffuse this information to its members by any appropriate means, in particular during work groups which are held regularly among ORSE members.

Accor gains a seat on the Conseil National du Développement Durable[the French national sustainable development council] (CNDD):
John Du Monceau is appointed on 21 February
John du Monceau was appointed as a member of CNDD representing Accor by France's Prime Minister, Jean-Pierre Raffarin.
CNDD reports directly to France's Prime Minister. Its duties include advising the government on its decisions concerning France's
sustainable development policy and on developing a constructive and consensual approach to sustainable development among all elements of society.

TOI
The Tour Operator Initiative for Sustainable Tourism Development.
Following the United Nations Conference on sustainable development held in April 1999, the World Tourism Organisation,
the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and UNESCO have consulted with various tour operators to launch a working
group on how to take sustainable development into account in the tour operating business. It is aimed at creating a think
tank to reflect on implementing and disseminating environmentally-friendly practices. It was materialised by the signing
of a Public Commitment by Accor on March 12, 2000 at the Berlin ITB (international tourism fair).
The 24 members (all of them tour operators) met regularly during 2001 to review the current situation and to think
about ways of including sustainable development criteria in deciding on service and of cooperating with tourist destinations

ADEME
In may 2007, Gilles Pélisson and Michèle Pappalardo,
president of the Agency
for the Environment and Energy Resources (ADEME) signed
a third framework agreement. The three-year cooperation agreement
covers five main areas:
- Support to renewable energies especially solar panels development (100 hotels will be fitted with solar panels by 2010)
- Energy efficiency in buildings
- Deployment of a waste reduction program
- Eco design
- International cooperation especially in Tunisia, Morocco, China and India

Nausicaa
Nausicaa and Accor undertake new
actions!
On 27 May 2003, Accor and the National Sea Centre at Boulogne-sur-Mer,
Nausicaa,
renewed their partnership to protect coastlines and the seabed.
From their initial effort at the Red Sea hotels in 1999, the
partners are now expanding the operation to other locations,
mainly Accor Vacances leisure hotels.
Committed to generating awareness among its customers about
their holiday site, Accor, benefiting from the skills and expertise
of Nausicaa, has developed an activity program for both adults
and children. The program includes underwater excursions, diving,
contests for children, a sea festival, and other events, as
well as training for hotel managers and activity coordinators,
and documents to create awareness and provide information on
the topic.

WWF
In Australia, Accor has set up a partnership with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) which qui involves paying 1 dollar to the WWF for every room booked at the Novotel and the Ibis Homebush Bay.
The Novotel Cayenne also works with the WWF in its environmental awareness operations (beach cleaups, biodiversity protection)

As part of its sustainable development policy, Accor's humanitarian sponsorship programs involve two priority areas:
child sponsorship with Plan and local aid to populations in need with the Red Cross.
Two priorities area
More than 1,200 social and humanitarian initiatives have been listed by Accor following a census made in 2002 among hotels
and other entities in the Group to reinforce and harmonize these actions, Accor has decided to refocus its sponsorship
policy. After in-depth analysis, two major themes - already broadly supported wihin the Group - have emerged:
- Child sponsorship
- Local aid to in need
To make this commitment operational, Accor has chosen to join forces with two international organizations : Plan and the Red Cross
PLAN
Accor and international children's development organization Plan have joined together to create a global partnership.
Launched in 1937, Plan has a permanent staff of 7,000 and 60,000 volunteers who help 1,3 million children, their
families and communities in 45 developing countries. As part of its commitment to sustainable development and humanitarian
work, Accor, its staff, clients and suppliers are helping Plan in its work to recruit more sponsors and support more children,
their families and the world's poorest communities.
Child sponsorship costs approximately 25 euros per month. The amount is variable as it depends on the country in which you
join Plan. Sponsoring a child helps the sponsored child and his or her family and also his or her community to work together
for a better, sustainable future.

RED CROSS
Local aid to populations in need
Through its know-how and businesses, Accor is coordinating the numerous actions already undertaken
with the Red Cross for several years.
Locally, several volunteer hotels offered logistic support to Red Cross entities by giving away scrapped
equipment, organizing special events in favour of disadvantaged people, or training staff in the fight against Aids in Africa.

ECPAT
Fighting child sex tourism
Illustrating the Group's commitment to sustainable, equitable and responsible tourism, Accor has been active since 2001 with
ECPAT (End Child Prostitution, Pornography and Trafficking in Children for Sexual Purposes).
Today, ECPAT is the only internationally recognized organisation that devotes itself exclusively to fighting against the
sexual exploitation of children for commercial purposes. The ECPAT network includes 70 organizations in 62 countries around
the world. Accor has signed in 2003 ECPAT Code of Conduct and is now active in eight different countries.
Training sessions have been organized for Accor hotel staff in Thailand with the aim of teaching them how to act and
react if they come across abuse of this kind in or out the vicinity of the hotels. These sessions were then extended in
2003 to Indonesia, Laos and Cambodia, bringing the number of trained staff to over 5,000. In 2004, training and awareness
programs were implemented in Dominican Republic, French Guyana, Mexico and Senegal.
