Comic book
Accor has opted for the amusing aspect of a comic book (1st printing in 1995) to generate awareness of the importance of the environment in the hotel and restaurant trades, which can be used by the vast majority of our staff. The quality of the comic book facilitates reader interest, regardless of the employee's level in the hierarchy or the department. This product was brought out with the help of comic-strip professionals. The script was written by Xavier Fauche, the scriptwriter for the French comic book character Lucky Luke, and 40,000 copies were printed, to ensure the widest possible dissemination.

Accor received recognition for the quality of the comic book at the International Comic Book Festival in Angoulême, where it was awarded the prize for company communication in February 1996.

As a result of the comic book's amusing, pedagogical qualities and the prize at the Angoulême Festival, it has aroused the interest of numerous primary schools eager to benefit from training tools. Accor has given many copies to them.

In February 2000, the Foundation Nicolas Hulot for Nature and Humankind launched a national information and awareness campaign on the topic of eco-citizenship in urban areas, entitled "MA VILLE ça me regarde" (my town is my home). A teaching bus travelled throughout France from February to May. As a partner to the campaign, Accor gave out "He who sorts best, sorts last" comic books to supplement the urban environment education information distributed to the schools.
