Pullman, a new upscale chain targeting business travelers
The Pullman name is historically tied to the luxury sleeping and dining cars that enabled train travelers to reach remote destinations easily and comfortably.
Accor is reviving the Pullman brand, leveraging its original values to meet the needs of business travelers with a contemporary hotel offering.
Conviviality, fluidity, connectivity and revamped services
Pullman hotels have been designed to make life easier for people traveling on business.
Featuring personalized services, new technologies and helpful, dedicated teams, Pullman provides customers with a calm, stress-free environment that enables them to stay connected with office, family and colleagues at all times. Pullman hotels will offer a homelike atmosphere, far removed from the cold, sterile settings previously reserved for business travelers. By designing the hotel’s public spaces—bars, restaurants, lounges—as areas that encourage conversation and interaction, the new brand has completely rethought the concept of the business hotel.
Pullman hotels will therefore offer the right balance of quiet and sociability so that travelers, whether alone or in a group, can rest, renew their energy, have fun or keep on working. Pullman hotels will be more than places to relax. They’ll be life-affirming spaces for meeting and interacting with the community and other guests and staff.
A fresh approach to event management
Pullman also ushers in a whole new approach to organizing business meetings, seminars and incentive programs. The brand’s commitment to excellence in this area will be demonstrated by the high quality of its meeting rooms and the availability of innovative services, such as online room views and booking services, a dedicated Event Manager for every occasion, the opportunity to prepare meetings and/or hold follow-ups on a dedicated website, ergonomic chairs and innovative coffee breaks.
This means that future clients can be confident that when they choose Pullman, they will be supported by specially trained staff dedicated to business events and by high-quality, state-of-the-art equipment.
Development
In 2008, the Pullman network will include 45 existing hotels, with 11,600 rooms in 23 countries in Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America. By 2015, it will grow to 250 hotels worldwide and will ultimately include more than 300.
