Leader in upscale gastronomy

Lenôtre, the luxury catering firm combining all gastronomy-related businesses, achieved a sales figure of 83 million euros in 2001, despite the economic downturn in the last quarter.

Lenôtre boutiques

Lenôtre has continued to pursue its development strategy, opening of a new boutique in Cannes (France) and introducing the Café Lenôtre, a new half-brasserie, half-tearoom restaurant concept in April 2001. In May 2002, Lenôtre will be opening a shop in rue Cler in the 7th arrondissement, bring the firm's total to 8 establishments in Paris and the metropolitan Paris area.
Lenôtre's international network, which now includes 30 boutiques in seven countries - Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Morocco, Germany and the United States -, is slated to expand in 2002, with several openings planned in Tunisia and the Gulf region.

From prestigious dinners to 33,000-guest events

Specialising in catering at elegant events such as perfume launches, the Lancôme Awards ceremony or private receptions such as the Bal des Etoiles held at the Pré Catelan (Paris), Lenôtre also boasts unrivalled skill in handling large-scale events. As the exclusive caterer at the World Football Cup in 1998, Lenôtre served nearly one million meals at ten sites during the four-week championship period. Lenôtre teams provide services not only in France but also worldwide: in 2000, they were in charge of the menu at the Club France restaurant during the Olympic Games in Sydney, more than 16,000 km from their base.
One of the milestones in the year 2001 was Lenôtre's arrival on the Côte d'Azur, where the firm set up a production laboratory in the suburbs of Cannes to support the expansion of catering activities in the region.

Recognised know-how

In 1973, Lenôtre developed its first food industry partnership with Barry. Today, it has intensified this policy by signing two new licence agreements, the first with Charles Amand for fish terrines and smoked salmon and the second, with Le Net for delicatessen products. The Maison Lenôtre has remained faithful to the policy of its founder, Gaston Lenôtre, by investing in the development of employee skills. In 2000, Olivier Poussier, Lenôtre's official wine-waiter, was awarded the supreme title of "World's Best Wine-Waiter for the year 2000" and five Lenôtre staff members, including Frédéric Anton, chef at Le Pré-Catelan restaurant (two stars in the Michelin Guide), recently received the title of "Meilleur Ouvrier" de France, bringing the total number of MOF at Lenôtre to eleven.
