GRI indicators

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) unites thousands of businesses, NGOs, federations and experts.

Launched in 1997, it is designed to define a framework formalizing reporting for all businesses willing to produce a sustainable development report.
Supported by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), it proposes 90 standards and indicators to standardize social and environmental responsibility assessment models.

In 2008, the GRI introduced guidelines for "G3" sustainable development reporting, which stipulates outside verification of data.
