Spain: Accor accelerates the development of its franchise portfolio
The ibis and Etap Hotel Oviedo, Accor’s first hotels in Asturias and the northwest region of Spain, have just opened, testifying to the Group’s accelerated franchise development in Spain, which is expected to continue with upcoming openings in Toledo, Albacete, Leon, Lugo, Orense, Santander, Merida, Cadix and Almeria.
The recently opened ibis and the Etap Hotel Oviedo are Accor’s first hotels in the principality of Asturias, an autonomous province with a million inhabitants.
The two new hotels, with a capacity of 110 and 90 rooms respectively, are situated in this history-laden capital. Nestled in the Prados de la Fuente district, they offer a clear view over the Naranco region.
Their complementary services strengthen the hotel offerings in the city, known for its tourist attractions as well as its economic influence on this Spanish region.
At ibis, guests can take advantage of availability of foodservices and the bar and breakfast served from 4 a.m. Etap Hotel rooms accommodate up to three customers in rooms that were recently awarded the prize for best interior design. Equipped with spacious showers, tactile night-lights and multimedia television, they guarantee an unusually high level of service for a low-cost hotel.
