Accor participes in the "Around France Yacht race"

Accor has teamed up with the ESSEC (A French Business School) and hanploi.com* to participate in the “Around France Yacht Race” ("Tour de France à la Voile").

*This race involves 10 stages, from Dunkirk to la Seyne sur Mer, during which 28 crews battle it out for nearly 2 months.

The skipper of the “Accor – ESSEC – hanploi.com” team, Damien Seguin, is an Olympic gold medallist in the Paralympics in Athens in 2004 and silver medallist in the Beijing games in 2008. His crew is made up of ESSEC students (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales).

At each stopover, a day is dedicated to information on the Group’s professions for partners and structures in charge of disability, followed by a day for welcoming people with disabilities (interview, recording a CV video…). The General Managers of the hotels in the region are also invited to the stand to be informed on the latest legislation on disability and on disability in general.

This initiative was launched by the MIPH (Accor Integrating the Disabled project), a team within Accor France’s Human Resources division, managing the integration and maintaining in employment of people with disabilities within the Group.
